On Tuesday 13th of June at 2.30 pm, Ivan Yaroslavtsev (U Hamburg) will give a talk in the Lowlands Dynamics seminar. The talk will be hosted online and will be streamed to the MathLab.

Title: Mixing and two-point ergodicity of (random) dynamics

Abstract: As it is well-discovered for deterministic dynamics, the weak mixing property is equivalent to ergodicity of the two-point motion. In this talk we discuss the same connection, but for random dynamical systems. In particular, we will show that exponential ergodicity of the two-point motion leads to exponential mixing rates. This talk is based on recent papers by Bedrossian, Blumenthal, and Punshon-Smith as well as on a joint work with Ben Gess.
