The math behind animal patterns

Mathematics is the key to understanding, predicting, and shaping the world around us. VU mathematician Jan Bouwe van den Berg collaborated with the Universiteit van Nederland to make a video explaining how Alan Turing discovered the mathematics behind the patterns on zebras, leopards and giraffes — and the role computers played in the process.
